So that’s it. I have made the decision to leave my comfortable, well-paid job that I love with colleagues that I adore for a cause that is ingrained in me. Not gonna lie, I have questioned what the hell I am thinking approx 806 times a day. But 807 times a day I think about the possibilities and opportunities and positive changes in my lifestyle.
There might be more work, but my time will be more flexible. I won’t have a 3 hour commute every day, covering me in other people’s sweat and questionable life choices.
My livelihood won’t be dependent on others.
Most importantly, I will have more time for the people and things that I love.
After all, you should be able to work to live, not forced to live for work.
I am joining my dear friend Nichole as a partner in her personal development and growth business. She has already done all the hard work of establishing it and I am joining to add value to it (as the whelmerer as some of you may remember, or more specifically, focussing on events and operations).
Most of the clients are in the pet industry and many are women. I love both, so this pleases me.
The work may be centred around branding and marketing through online courses, conferences and retreats, but ultimately much of it is about helping women achieve their dreams. I may be leaving the charitable sector, but I still intend my work to have purpose and meaning beyond bringing in the dollaz.
Wish me luck! Better yet, let me know if you might be interested in the next online course or our annul retreat is Mexico cha cha cha!
